What is the Salemite?
The Salemite is your campus newspaper, established in the 1920s as the “uncensored voice of Salem College.” It is completely student-run, with articles submitted by any student (not just Salemite staff members)! In 2010, it was converted to an online “newsblog” to better serve Salem students. The Salemite publishes articles, reviews, photos, cartoons, illustrations, videos—anything that would interest a Salem student.
Who can contribute?
You don’t have to be on the staff to contribute! You can send in articles or ideas to us! As soon as edits are made, your submission will be published and available for your fellow students to read. All news published by The Salemite is written by students for students. This site is a place for students to voice their opinions and discuss important topics. Any student can contribute by emailing their material to email@example.com, where their submission will be reviewed by our editing staff for publishing.
